Welcome to Mohenjo-Daro!
Mohenjo-Daro was one of the biggest cities in the Indus River Valley Civilization. It is located in modern-day Pakistan.
Here in Mohenjo-Daro, we make our houses out of mud bricks. Instead of drying them in the sun, we put them in a kiln. This way, the bricks can last longer.
We were the first civilization to have indoor plumbing, showers, and toilets. All the waste and dirty water was flushed out into the main sewer.
We believe that being physically and spiritually clean is very important. Modern Hindus continue to practice bathing.
Seals are stamps that we press into wet clay to make an impression. We use them to show ownership of an object and as our signature.
