In the beginning, Jem and Scout heard the scary stories told around town aboout Boo Radley. This changed their opinion of him. However, they became curious to find out the truth, and eventually they did and changed their aspect and how they felt towards Boo Radley
When Tom Robinson's hearing came up, all of the people that attended walked into the court house under the assumption that Tom was guilty and that it was a waste of time. However, the way Atticus used his skills to interview Tom about the supposed incident, changed the opinion some had of Tom, and believed that he was in fact innocent.
Jem at first thought of Mrs. Dubose as not much more than a grouchy old lady who sits on her front porch and hates children. However, when he was reading to her, and when Atticus told him the truth about her being sick and being brave for giving up her drug addiction, Jem's views changed and he became very sympathetic towards her as well as grew a sense of respect for her.
Gaining a more clear perspective can give you insight on a situation, changing the way you view things.
