The Renaissance is a time of much cultural rebirth from around the 1400's to the 1700's.
One important scientist from the renaissance was Copernicus. He said that the sun is the center of the universe, rather that what was always thought, the Earth.
The printing press is a major invention made by Gutenberg that made it much easier to copy books. The first book made on the printing press was the Bible.
The Reformation is a time when a man named Martin Luther started to disagree with the Catholic church and started his own religions. Many people broke away from the Catholic church and joined the Protestant religion.
During the reformation a new group of religions formed called Protestant. Martin Luther formed these because he did not agree with many things the Catholic church was doing. He also wrote the 95 theses against the sale of indulgences.
The impact of the Renaissance is that now we have many inventions that scientists invented in the Renaissance and we still have the Protestant religions.
