Storyboard Text

  • Othello Act 1 Scene 3
  • The great Moor Othello has Desdemona under a spell...or so Barbantio thinks as he rushes to see the Duke.
  • The Turks are approaching Rhodes as we speak...
  • And what of Cyprus? We must make haste!
  • Hark! My daughter... Oh the treachery!
  • Othello and Desdemona have wed and the Duke denies the work of sorcery in their union.
  • What have you of this Othello?
  • I am no wizard, but a man who loves Desdemona and has captured her heart as she has mine...
  • It is true! We are one, and I his loyal and loving wife.
  • Oh Iago! I can not live without her, fair Desdemona. I'd just as soon drown myself...
  • Foolish boy...when the time is right Desdemona will leave the side of the great Moor for you. In the meantime, make haste and line thy purse with money until you are well and rich!
  • Iago launches his great deception of Othello through the innocent and naïve Roderigo.
  • The Moor, the Moor... I HATE THE MOOR! In due time I will exact upon him a deception so great that it will paralyze him greatly. Ha! I do not deserve such praise as "Honest Iago!"
  • Aside, Iago contemplates how he will corrupt Desdemona and in turn enmesh everyone in a web of their own making.
