The Greeks pushed the Trojans back and then Zeus returned his attention to the battle he saw Hector throwing up black blood. Zeus called upon Apollo, god of the sun, to breathe fresh life into Hector. Hector is then revived and returns to the battle.
The Armor of Achillies
Achilles agreed to let Patroclus to wear his armor and lead the Myrmidons into battle. Achilles had one exception though, that when Patroclus's appearance drives the Trojans away that he must return. Patroclus went out, put on his armor, and took the Myrmidons to meet the Trojans in battle. The Trojans saw Patroclus wearing Achilles armor and were scared, they thought it was Achilles and the Greeks drove them back to the city gates. Hector discovered who it was under the armor and he ends up killing Patroclus.
Vengeance for Patroclus
Achilles is told that Patroclus was killed by Hector in battle and Achilles is ready to take on Hector. Achilles mother tells him that he cannot go into battle without armor, so she tells him she is going to Hephaestus to have him make Achilles some armor. When she returns Achilles takes on Hector. Hector is wounded and he eventually dies. Hector, under his last breath, foretells that Achilles will die at the hands of Paris at this very gate. Achilles does an awful thing, he ties Hector to a chariot and drags him across town.
Ransom for Hector
The Luck of Troy

The guard drinks the liquid and falls asleep. Odysseus "wakes up",steals the Luck of Troy, and returns to the Greeks camp.
Patroclus returns to ask Achilles why he hasn't buried him yet, that he cannot go to the land of the dead. Achilles orders people to prepare a funeral pyre. Patroclus's ashes were put into a golden cup and the funeral games begun, celebrating the life of Patroclus. After the games the Greeks ate dinner in Achilles hall.Achilles wasn't happy he still mourned over his friend Patroclus, and for the next 12 days he dragged Hector's body around the place. "Achilles displeased the gods, he was dishonoring himself, his friend, and the earth itself." Apollo protected Hector from any more savage treatment
The gods sent Thetis to tell Achilles that they weren't pleased with what he was doing and that they wanted him to give Hector's body to the Trojans in return for the gold King Priam would give for the body. Iris, the goddess of the rainbow, then told King Priam to ask Achilles for Hector's body for something valuable in return. King Priam pleaded with Achilles asking for his sons,Hector's, body. Achilles accepted the ransom and told his slave women to give Hector's body back to King Priam.
