  • In Athens, Eugeus wants Hermia to marry Demetrius but Hermia loves Lysander. Theseus declares that Hermia must choose her fate in four days, which is when Thesus will marry his Hyppolyta. 
  • Climax 
  • Hermia and Lysander elope and meet in the forest, only telling one person about their plan, Helena, who is in love with Demetrius and tells him of Hermia and Lysanders plan. 
  • Falling Action
  • Demetrius goes into the woods to win over Hermia while Helena follows, declaring her love for him while he rejects her. Oberon sees this conflict and tells Puck to drop a love potion in Demetrius' eyes so he will fall in love with Helena and his wifes eyes so she will be distracted while he steals a boy from her. Puck accidentally puts the love potion in Lysanders eyes and he wakes up and falls in love with Helena. 
  • Resolution
  • Oberon realizes Puck's mistake and has him put the antidote on Lysanders eyes and put the love potion on Demetrius' eyes. Titania is also given the antidote and realizes that has fallen for a man with a donkeys face. 
  • The four lovers fall asleep in the woods and are found by Theseus and Hyppolyta while hunting. When the four wake Thesus tells Hermia she must make a decsion. They all explain that the four have worker it out and that Hermia and Lysander love one another and Demetriu and Helena love one another. With this news, Thesus suggest to them they have a triple wedding and they agree.
  • The three couples have a triple wedding and everyone is happy in the end.
