Hi! My name is Betty Sue And I'm a cowgirl!
And I'm the horse! Today we'll be driving our cattle from West Texas to the East!
In West Texas, we have an open frontier. Yep! No fencing here. With the open frontier, we can get to our place faster by the direct path. But... There are still some dangers...
Espically when they stampead! They trample crops and other cattle which can lower profit for everyone
Sadly.. with the invention of barbed wire, the open frontier is coming to a close and it's getting harder to get our cattle to railroads fast like we used to.
Some people would cut the wires, but that is now charged with a felony.
The Cattle are now loaded onto a train to go east while I get paid $40 per cow for my hard work.... Okay Horse! Looks like we're having steak tonight!
Now we travel back home and wait to re-up for our next journey while taking care of new cattle!
