Storyboard Text

  • Exposition
  • Mathilde is a poor girl and, her husband is the Minster of Education. She lives during the 1820's. She is tremendously beautiful and feels like her simple like doesn't fit her beauty. She is not happy with her life being like this.
  • Mathilde's husband was able to get Mathilde and him an invitation to one of the most prestige. He was deeply surprised when she was upset because all she ever wanted was to be like the rich people. She was upset because she did not think she would look up to par with all the important people there. She ended up borrowing a some things from her friends. What she loved the most though was the gorgeous necklace she got borrowed.
  • Rising Action
  • Mathilde gets home from the ball and discovers she lost the necklace. She looks everywhere for it, but yet she still can not find it.
  • Climax
  • Mathilde and her husband check how much the necklace is and they can not afford it at all. Della doesn't want to admit to her friend that she lost her necklace so she borrows money to pay for it.
  • Falling Action
  • Mathilde has to work years to make up the money. She spends practically her whole life doing so but finally she is able to repay her debt.
  • Conflict
  • Mathilde sees her friend who she lost the necklace of in the street many year later. Now Mathilde is looks much older from her hard work but her friend didn't age as much. Mathilde told her friend that she had to ruin her life to pay for that necklace of hers. Her friend says that it was just a fake. Mathilde wasted her life for nothing.
  • Resolution
