Storyboard Text

  • Approach to the Inmost Cave
  • Supreme Ordeal
  • Reward
  • As she pondered the new world she saw a young gaunty girl in need for help. She just walked away and thought to herself, “ Whatever she'll be fine.” But as she galoped away on her horse she heard crying for help and then “poof” fairy Tiana, “It’s your choice. Now or never!” Catalina decided she would risk it and jump in the water to help her.
  • The Road Back
  • As Catalina grabbed the young girl under her arms and dragged her out of the water. She was beginning to feel fervent. She was also feeling much remorse for the girl because she could have almost died, but she was proud of herself for doing the right thing and she was happy she finally did something good.
  • Resurrection
  • Catalina hurry, it's your mother!
  • After saving the girl from drowning, her fairy godmother, Tiana, poofed out of nowhere and opened the portal again. “You can go home now and become the queen of Stone Village.” Catalina thought it was a trick because Fairy Tiana plummeted to the ground because Catalina was contemplating on leaving or not. But everything was fine and she was going to rule Stone Village now or later.
  • Return
  • As she thought about the proposal, she questioned how she would rule and what good choices or good things she would do for Stone Village. She paced back and forth until it hit her. The only way for her to become queen is if her mother was to die. She cheered because her mom was very young and Catalina still had time to change and help people for the better good. She promised herself she would never become a scavenger just to get the crown.
  • Catalina stumbled upon a letter written to her from her divergent father a long time ago. As she read with interest and desire to meet him, she remembered he was gone and he was not coming back. She was thankful she had her mother though… until the maids came rushing into the room. “Catalina hurry, it’s your mother!” All ran up the stair and found Queen Hazel dead in her bed. Catalina cried for days.
  • With her mother recently passing and her letter from her missing father Catalina questioned her choices and actions in the past. She wished she was able to redo everything, her father and her mother. But, life can’t go backwards it just keeps moving forward. Being proclaimed queen of Stone Village will be something that won’t leave her because she knows what being careless and rude can do to someone.
