Storyboard Text

  • What are we doing at the doctor's office, Grandma??
  • Well, I am old and I need my health checked every once and a while.
  • Margaret Smith, I am ready for you to come back for your exam!
  • Okay, I just need to check your height, weight, and basic vitals.
  • Okay, I am going to use this blood sample real quick to check your cholesterol and other things! I will be back in a couple minutes!
  • Okay, take your time!
  • Well, the doctor takes some of my blood and they do some stuff with it and then they tell me if I am healthy or not. There are two types of cholesterol, and one of them is something you do not want.
  • Grandma, what is cholesterol??
  • So what are the two types of this thing called cholesterol?
  • There is one called HDL which stands for high density lipoprotein and there is LDL which stands for low density lipoprotein. I know these words might be confusing, but you can ask the doctor when she gets back what they do and mean.
