  • Power Of One- Any base that is raised to the 1st Power is itself.
  • Ex. 101= 100 Ex. X1= X
  • Power Of One
  • Negative Exponents- Any base that the Reciprocal Positive values itself.
  • Ex. 62= 36= 1/36 Ex. A-m= 1/am
  • Negative Exponents
  • Zero Exponents- Any base that the Reciprocal Positive values itself. Power Of One- Any base that is raised to the Zero Power is 1.
  • Ex. 62= 36= 1/36 Ex. A-m= 1/am Ex. 100= 1 Ex. A0= 1
  • Zero Exponents Zero Exponents
  • Product Rule- When Multiply Two Powers w/ the same base, you can add the exponents.
  • Ex. Am* An= Am&n Ex. 23* 22= 25

  • Quotient Rule- When Divide Two Powers w/ the same  base, you can keep the exponents.
  • Ex. 915/ 910= 9 = 1 Ex. 66* 6-3= 63
