All of Hrothgar's men sang of their pleasure. They all lived happily in the halls.
But as the warriors celebrated day after day, this demonic monster named Grendal became angered. He was one of the monsters born of Cain and banned by God. Grendal and all of the monsters born were punished for the death of Abel. Grendal split into thousand forms of evil.
Now, when darkness came, Grendal wanted to see what the men did after drinking. So, Grendal slipped quietly through the door and saw them asleep. He then, thought about something crucial. Grendal snatched 30 men and murdered them in their sleep. He ran out with the bodies, leaving a trail of blood to his lair.
When dawn arrived Hrothgar, the king, and the people feast in mourn. They all grieved for the warrior's tragic event that had happened.
Distance was safety; all that survived were the ones that fled. Grendal ruled and left Herot deserted for many years.
But the kingdom's grief did not stop Grendal. He kept killing all that were alsleep.
Grendal messed with the balance of good and evil; leaving Earth a dark place. Not even Hrothgar was able to defeat Grendal. All cried for help but there was no help. No hope.
