A tale as old as time, the story opens with a flashback of exposition to explain how the Beast came to be: he had been a prince who was turned into the Beast after he denied shelter to an old beggar woman - an enchantress in disguise - on a stormy night. The Beast is also said to only have until his 21st birthday to learn to love and be loved back to be turned back into a human.
Little town, it's a quiet village. The story opens up describing that the main character, Belle, is the prettiest girl in town, as well as one of the most intelligent who yearns for more than just the life the villian, Gaston, wishes for her: to be his obedient wife
When her father gets captured by the Beast, Belle trades her freedom for her father's and becomes the Beast's prisoner. Over the time that they are together, love starts to bloom between the two, allowing for something to be there that wasn't there before
But no one's slick as Gaston who finds out about Belle and the Beast and fights with the Beast for Belle. The Beast wins, killing Gaston in the process
Mortally wounded, the Beast nearly dies when Belle expresses her love for him, allowing him to transform back into a human
Belle and the Prince get married and live happily ever after, showing that true love can come in many forms.
