Richard's vanguard, commanded by Norfolk, attacked but struggled against Oxford's men, and some of Norfolk's troops fled the field
  • In frustration Richard lll charged across the battlefield towards Henry Tudor, dividing him from his men  Seeing the king's knights separated from his army, the Stanleys intervened; Sir William led his men to Henry's aid, surrounding and pulling Richard from his horse. Then hacking him to death
  • My kingdom for a horse!
  • Lord Stanley took the crown off of Richards head and placed it on to Henry's. Pronouncing him king of England. Ending the war of the Roses
