Storyboard Text

  • Everlost
  • by Neal Shusterman
  • "Allie had always been a goal-oriented girl. It was both her strength and her weakness. She had a drive to completion that always got things done, but it also make her inflexible, and stubborn. Even though she adamantly denied being stubborn, she knew deep down it was true" (32).
  • Allie
  • One of the two main characters, and travels around Everlost with Nick and Leif to find her home.
  • Allie is a practical person who is very single-minded (efficient, but stubborn).
  • ?
  • The major conflict is the children of Everlost vs. Everlost itself. Mary thinks they should find their "niche", Nick wants them to go where they're going, and Allie just wants to go home.

  • The climax was when Mary revealed that The McGill was her brother, Mikey McGill, and she showed him a picture of himself to turn him back to how he normally looked.
  • Mikey jumped into the lake with Shiloh, the Famous Diving Horse to save Allie from falling to the center of the Earth, which made them friends, and Mikey offered to finally take Allie home.
  • HOME is a major theme in the book, because Allie and Nick try to find their way home in the beginning and later Nick decides to try to get every kid in Everlost to where they're going, or their true home.
  • "It was now that Allie figured out something she should have figured out a long time ago: Home was no longer home. She had denied it, refused to think about it, pretended it didn't matter, but she couldn't pretend anymore" (304).
