Destiny dependent is any factor limiting the size of a population whose effect is dependent on the number of individuals in the population
For example, disease will have a greater effect in limiting the growth of a large population
Since overcrowding facilitates its spread. And if more of the population dies the harder it is to have more reproducing.
Destiny independent is limiting the size of a population whose effect is not dependent on the number of individuals in the population.
for example an earthquake
An earth quake will kill all members of the population regardless of whether the population is small or large.
