  • CANINES- pointed teeth which help to tear food into manageable chunks.
  • MOLARS- large, strong teeth which grind against other to crush food.
  • INCISORS - tough, chisel-shaped teeth, with a sharp edge to help in biting food.
  • Caring for a child's teeth is IMPORTANT in preventing tooth decay. babies under 1yrs should have their teeth brushed 2 times a day, using gentle toothpaste.
  • A sign a baby might be teething can be; they are chewing on hard objects, and dribbling a lot.
  • Another sign a baby might be teething can be; they get sore gums or a red cheek.
  • I now like going to the dentist!
  • Note to parents: Take your children to the dentist regularly so that they get used to the idea of their teeth being looked at.
