  • Reverend Parris is a somewhat of respectable man in salem. A man who cares more solely on money, rather than those around him. This personality can be seen in Act four when he found out that Abigail and the other girls fled the village. Instead of being worried for the girls, he cared more about the fact that they stole money from him.
  • Rebecca Nurse
  • Pray, John, be calm. Mr. Parris, I think you'd best send Reverend Hale back as soon as he come. This will set us all to arguin' again in the society, and we thought to have peace this year. I think we ought rely on the doctor now, and good prayer.
  • Abigail Williams is a very cunning, sinful, deceitful young lady in Salem. Along with the other girls, she pointed fingers to the respectable women of Salem who was accused of witchcraft. She is very manipulative and knows how to control people. Abigail blackmailed the girls to not tell the truth or she will kill them.
  • John Proctor
  • My wife will never die for me! I will bring you guts into your mouth but that goodness will not die for me!
  • Mary Warren is a scared young lady, who was conflicted during the events. She was afraid of what Abigail will do to her, if she told the truth. She wanted to stop the mass hysteria that ruined the town, but she was afraid of what Abigail will do to ruin her reputation.
  • Elizabeth Proctor
  • John, I counted myself so plain, so poorly made, no honest love could come to me! suspicion kissed you when I did; I never knew how I should say my love. It were a cold house I kept!
  • Rebecca Nurse was a respectable woman who was accused of Witchcraft and association with the devil itself. The town believed in her, and always took account of her opinions about certain things.
  • John Proctor was a local farmer, and husband of Elizabeth Proctor. He was accused to be the Devil itself, and died in the end heroically. He cared for his wife, and believed that her life was way precious than his. And he would also do anything to get his wife out of prison. Which shows loyalty and remorse in his part.
  • Elizabeth Proctor was John Proctor's wife and was one of the many accused of witchcraft. Elizabeth was paranoid that abigail was out to get her, which made her distant from her husband, due to the sin John committed with abigail. In the end, she blamed herself that she was cold and distant from her husband.
