If you ever get stranded in the desert the first thing you want to do is, cover your head and get under something. You want to cover your head with something because if you keep your head uncovered too long it's hard for your body to keep cool. You wanna get under something or construct something to not be very hot.
If you have any water don't just drink it all when you feel thirsty, take small sips throughout the day so you don't get dehydrated. If you come across water in the desert don't just drink it it may be contaminated. If you have any food don't eat it right away because the more food you eat the more thirstier you get, so only take a few nibbles here and there.
Don't ever panic it will just make your life harder. If you want to walk to try to find something, and you don't find anything don't become scared or try to panic.
If you decide you move and go find shelter or water, then make sure you make a trail with rocks or anything else that can make a trail. Just in case you get lost and need to go back.
When moving around to find shelter or food, make sure you don't use all your energy. Don't run so you don't break a sweat, it will use less energy just to walk.
During the day it could be really hot, but when it turns nighttime it could get so cold that you wish it was daytime. Before it turns night you want to find shelter, and warmth. Finding these things will definitely help you through the night.
