Back then,there was an event called the Stamp Act. The British put taxes on paper goods because the war costed them a lot of money.
Some colonists were sick of the government rules so they went against the British. Unfortunately, five colonists died when they went through the streets saying no to British rules.This is now called the Boston Massacre.
The last major battle in the American Revolution was in Yorktown. George Washington and his troops heroically beat the British.To seal the deal George signed the Treaty of Paris and ended the war.
