Hello, my name is Nya. I live here in sudan. Everyday I go down to the pond and fetch water for my family. Other families in my village do too, because we dont have enough money for a well.
"80% of humanity lives off of $10 a day."(Poverty stats and facts,Shaha)
"72 million prime aged children can not afford to go to school in 2005"(Poverty stats and facts, Shaha)
Right now I am gathering water in my bucket to give to my family. Right now it is about 11:00 A.M. We can not afford to go to school so i do not go to school.
I'm finally back from my 2nd trip to the pond so its time for bed. Since we don't have much money I don't get a lot of food so my growth stunted and I am underweight. This is why I sleep in a small skinny bed.
Around 27-28% of all children in developing countries are estimated to be underweight or stunted.
