once upon a time there was a man named Marconi. he was a young boy and was intrigued by the recent discovery of invisible waves, found by Heinrich Rudolf Hertz. at the time they where declared useless.
he spent many years researching, and he finally build the beginning of the radio. at first it transmitted across the room, then across the ocean.
at first the radio could only transmit Morse code. the first person to actually speak on the radio was Mr. Stein, a friend of marconi.
soon after it became the stander equipment for ships crossing the ocean. milatary discovered its use to conmunications and it helped greatly durring WWI.
in 1920, the first radio station was invented. it was an instant sucsess and started the golden age of the radio.
The radio relates to the industrial revolution because then people where able to listen to the radio for news, instead of going out and buying a newspaper. they also helped with confrences. radios let you talk to a whole group of people instead of a one on one phone call
