What type of infection does it cause?
Type A and B viruses cause the large seasonal outbreaks. Type C usually causes milder respiratory symptoms.
What does the size and shape look like?
It is roughly spherical.
Did you know influenza causes you to have bad fever, coughing, chills,and chest pain? It affects your whole body.
Did you know the virus affects humans?
The seasonal flu vaccine protects against the influenza viruses that research indicates will be most common during the upcoming season.
The most common are called “rapid influenza diagnostic tests (RIDTs).”RIDTs work by detecting the parts of the virus (antigens) that stimulate an immune response.
Do you know how influenza spreads?
Most experts think that flu viruses are spread mainly by droplets made when people with flu cough, sneeze or talk.
