Storyboard Text

  • Right now I'm going through interphase, I am replicating my DNA, and growing and developing. I don't have my chromosomes yet.
  • I have just received the signal to perform Mitosis! I must go through Prophase. In this stage my chromatin becomes chromosomes. My centrioles move apart and spindle fiber forms.
  • Now I must go through the 2nd stage, metaphase, my chromosomes line up in the middle, or the equator.
  • Now I must go through the 3rd stage, anaphase, in this phase the chromatids pull to the sides of the cell.
  • This is the 4th and final stage, telophase, this is when i start to actually pull apart! Cleavage develops between the cytoplasms,  the chromsomes go back to chromatin, this process leads to cytokenesis.
  • All done, now there are two of me, both identical, with 46 chromosomes each. Now it's time to start over and go back into interphase!
