The following is a summary of what happens in chapter eight of "TO KILL A MOCKINGBIRD". It starts out with Jem, Atticus, and Scout in their living room. Then it moves onto the next day where it snowed over night and Jem and Scout went to build a snowman. Later in the night, a fire goes off in Miss Maudie's house, and Atticus tells the kids to stay on the Radley's front porch until the fire goes. While they were on the porch, Boo Radley gives blankets without them noticing him. Then Jem gets and blurts out every secret he and Scout had for the past two years. It finally goes to where Scout and Jem are talking to Miss Maudie about how she's handling having her house burnt down.
Kids, I need you to go to Mr. Radley's front porch and stay there until this all blows over.
...me and Scout had been getting strange gifts from a hole in a tree in Boo Radley's front yard. We were even the kids who snuck onto his yard...
It's alright, I actually wanted a bigger place anyway.
