Father, how come everyday, the sun fades out and light ceases?
Well, the Cherokee have a very interesting story about that.....
The people of a village asked the creator, Ouga, to make it so that it was always day, so that they may have more time to work. Ouga granted their wish, and blessed them with eternal day.
The forest soon grew over all of their hard work, it made their farms sprout up weeds at double the speed, and they realised their mistake. So, once again they asked Ouga to change the day, but this time to forever night.
The Natives realized that they had made a mistake again, no crops would grow due to the cold, and there was widespread famine. Finally, they asked the Creator to make everything as it was before.
He granted their wish and everything was back to normal, balance is the way to go.
