Storyboard Text

  • Ordinary World: One day, Willow(hero), a young princess, was strolling through the forest.  Suddenly, she came upon a beautiful tree. She felt a indescribable connection with the tree that drew her closer.  However, once she placed her hand on the rough bark, she fell through into the tree.
  • Once trapped inside, an ugly, evil troll(shadow) appeared from behind the bushes.  He chuckled to himself and said to the princess;
  • “You have fallen into my trap, young princess.  Now there will be no one left to prevent me from taking over your kingdom!”.
  • The princess gasped “No! It can’t be true!”.
  •  “Yes it is! My dear princess, as we speak hundreds of trolls are taking over the castle from the ground and sky.  By now your guards are already locked away in the dungeon in my new castle. Well, I'd better go. I have a kingdom to run.”
  • The troll went on his way to the castle and Princess Willow sat inside the tree in shock.  She had nothing else to do but cry. And she cried so much that her tears gave the tree more life and it grew into a huge, strong tree.  It would be years until she was freed from her nature prison.
  • Call to Adventure:One hundred years have passed a wizard comes upon the tree that Willow is trapped in.  He taps the tree once and disappears. Instantaneously, Willow’s tree opened up and she emergeed from the inside.  As her eyes adjusted to the light, she noticed that a creature was approaching her.
  • “I am Edward, (ally, herald, trickster) the paradandrus, and I am here to guide you through your journey of winning back your kingdom because you are now freed from your prison thanks to the mysterious Wizard.”
  • Willow introduced herself and told her story to her new friend.
  • “Follow me, I need to introduce you to a friend of mine who will help us start our journey.”
  • "Let's go."
