Welcome to Mohenjo-Daro! The city is located on the banks of the river Indus, in modern-day Pakistan. It was built in the 26th century B.C.
Our homes are built out of baked mud brick. Since they are baked in a kiln instead of sun-dried, they are more durable. Rich people have courtyards in the house.
This is the shower house. We dump water over our heads, then there is a drain that the water flows down. The drain leads to a pipe, that leads to the sewer.
This is the Great Bath. We use it for both spiritual and physical purification.
Seals are used to mark our property, because most of us can't read or write.
We use boats to travel up the Indus river to trade. The boats have flat bottoms and a sail.
