Llewelyn blows his hunting horn, waiting for his hounds to arrive.
Llewelyn blows a louder blast, waiting for Gelert, his favourite hound, to respond.
(flashback) Gelert is Llewelyn's favourite hound. Gelert fed beside him, guarded him during sleep and cheered up Llewelyn. Gelert was a gift of Royal John- and he was a faithful hound, great at hunting.
Despite being unable to find Gelert, the hunt continued. Llewelyn and his hounds pried Snowdon's mountains, hunting down prey, but they couldn't find much, for Gelert was not there to help them.
Llewelyn met Gelert when he approached his home, and Gelert rushed to Llewelyn, licking Llewelyn's feet enthusiastically.
Gelert led Llewelyn to Llewelyn's room, where fresh blood stained the walls, shocking Llewelyn.
