  • The immune system is now in action and it uses its network of cells, tissues, and organs to attack the foreign invaders
  • The tonsils, which filter out harmful bacteria, are now swelling due to the salmanella
  • The Peyer's Patch functions just as the tonsils, but is located in the small intestine
  • The Thymus Gland is located in the upper chest region and it produces lymphocytes
  • The spleen is a storage for blood and it destroys worn out red blood cells
  • The lymphatic vessels and lymph nodes function similarly as the lymphatic fluid flows through the lymph nodes with the help of the lymphatic vessels
