  • Who are you? We were only navigating to trade
  • I'm Tecumseh and I am a British alley.
  • Battle in the Great Lakes/Canada
  • We defeat the British
  • James Madison became a President
  • Francis Scott Key and the Bombardment of fort McHenry
  • James Madison asked Congress to aprove war with Britain because of the ships impressment. Britain had announced that they would stop attacking U.S. ships but it was too late.
  • Jackson became a hero
  • Oliver Hazard Perry took command of the U.S Navy in lake Eerie. Commodore Perry and the British battled for two hours before Perry's ship were sunk. He rowed to another boat and destroyed the British ships.
  • Effects of War
  • Weakened Native Americans
  • Increased Patriotism
  • Francis Scott Key wrote a poem about the Bombardment of Fort McHenry.
  • While watching the British and U.S. Battle, Francis wrote the "The Star Spangled Banner", our national anthem.
  • James Madison sent Andrew Jackson to command the American forces in 1815.
