  • Hello, Counselor. I have some questions about relationships. What exactly is a healthy relationship?
  • Well, a healthy relationship is a relationship where both people feel comfortable.
  • So, what does a healthy relationship look like and consist of? Like, what happens in a healthy relationship?
  • A healthy relationship can consist of many things such as no pressure to do things, good communication, listening to each other, and spending time with each other, like cooking dinner together.
  • What about an unhealthy relationship?
  • An unhealthy relationship is just the opposite. There might be some pressure to make a certain decision, like which job to take, bad communication, neither of you are listening t each other, and you aren't spending enough time with each other. Instead you are doing other things, like spending too much time at work.
  • How can I make sure that my relationship stays healthy?
  • There are a couple things you can do. You can talk to your significant other and make sure they know what you are comfortable with. You can set rules and boundaries. You can also makes sure you both know what you want in the relationship.
  • Can you give me an example of a good relationship?
  • An example of a good relationship is Bella and Edward from Twilight. They are in a good relationship because they listen to each other, they spending time with each other, and they give each other space when needed.
  • Can you also give me an example of a bad relationship?
  • An example of a bad relationship is Mariana and Nick from The Fosters because even though Nick wants a relationship with Mariana, Mariana is scared of Nick and is not comfortable enough with Nick to tell him the truth about how she feels.
