  • James Madison is elected president.
  • In 1807 James Madison was elected president. He served from 1809-1817.
  • Hello,my name is James Madison also known as the (Father of the Constitution).I am the fourth president of the United States who served from 1809-1817.
  • You are not allowed to trade with the French unless permitted to.
  • While attempting to trade with the French,US men were captured and enslaved by British Soldiers.The Natives allied with the British to fight the Americans, when the Americans went on their land.
  • Impressment/Native American Resist
  • This war will have to be fought against the Navy.
  • Phase 1-Battles in the Great Lakes/Canada
  • Oliver Hazard Perry took command of the Navy who was ready to fight the British.Perry battled the British for 2 hours then his ship sunk.He then rowed to British boats to destroy them.The British retreated and were later beaten in the Battle of Thames.

  • After the British defeated Napoleon they marched to the white house where they burned the white house down.Around the same time Francis Scott Key was watching the bombardment of Ft. McHenry where he also wrote the national anthem.
