  • We are going to war!
  • The impressement of saliors was one of the reasons of the war of 1812. The british would kidnap ameican sailors. The british would kidnap the sailor to enlarge their troops. They kidnapped as many people they could.
  • Phase 1: Battles of the Great Lakes
  • Tecumseh was planning on making a native american resistance to keep the americans from moving westward. And, the british like the idea of the resistance so the british supplied them with guns to fight back with the americans. This was the beginning of the end for the native american beginning. This was also a cause of the war of 1812.
  • Phase 2: Star Spangled Banner
  • James Madison is the reason why the war of 1812 started! And, he also when to war with a little navy to protect the USA. James Madison also stopped trade with France and Britian because of impress. When he stopped trade that was bad for the US economy.
  • Phase 3: War Hero
  • The Battles of the Great Lakes was a american victory. Battles were lead by Caption Perry and lead the US army to victory. This made the americans feel good about themself. They have won a battle against the World's Greatest army.
  • Francis Scott Key was at Fort Mchenry to save an imprisoned american civilian. As he aboard the ship the bombardment began. When he saw the bombs he created a poem about the americans winning the war and the poem was turned into the Star Spangled Banner.
  • Andrew Jackson was the general of The War of 1812. He was happy to fight the british because when he was younger he was abused by the Red Coats. Since he was so good about the war he was also the 7th president of the US.
