  • President James Madison sent soon to be war hero Oliver Hazard Perry to command the Navy in Lake Eerie. After Perry's ship was sunk he went on to beat the British in a row boat.
  • Battle in the Great Lakes.
  • My middle name is danger but we are going to beat the British.
  • As Francis Key Scott watched the bombardment of Fort McHenry he decided to write about the flag that still stood strong through all the gun shots and cannons. This writing would soon be knon as our national anthem.
  • Oh say can you see, by the dawns early light.
  • Our National Anthem is Born.
  • The Mississippi River is ours!
  • Once the British cut off all american use of the Mississippi River, James Madison sent, soon to be war hero, Andrew Jaxson to command the American forces down in Louisiana. This battle was a huge win for America.
  • New Orleans, Louisiana
  • The main reason the War of 1812 happened was because of Native American Resistance. Once a battle broke out between America and the Native Americans after the battle America found British guns on the Battle field.
  • Native American Resistance
  • Wait one second. Are those British guns?
  • One of the effects of the war was when Native Americans gave up on resisting Westward Settlement. They did this because they they weren't going to win that battle.

  • I guess we have to let the Americans move west into our land.
  • When the British blocked all ways of trading goods the Americans started making more and more factories to help the economy. This lead to the Industrial Revolution.
  • Industrial Revolution
  • Welcome to the new America.
