  • I give you James Madison the fourth president under the new Constitution!
  • War of 1812
  • HELP!
  • Americans are under attack!!!
  • Battles in The Great Lakes/Canada
  • THE BRITISH SHIPS ARE DOWN!!
  • IN 1807 James Madison becomes the fourth president under the new Constitution. He was later named the Father of the Constitution.
  • Phases 2 (East Coast)
  • France and England were still at war in 1803 and Jefferson continued to stay neutral. Until France and England began seizing American ships and impressing American sailors. Indians also began attacking them too. Also allied with Britain in Canada.
  • Phases 3 (New Orleans)
  • Sorry you ain't going through this Mississippi River!
  • Between 1812-1814 the war against Britain was not over yet, Oliver Hazard Perry took command of the U.S Navy in Lake Erie. Now William Henry is now aboard and following them into Canada and defeated them at the Battle of Thames. The British are not a threat!
  • Effects of War 1812 (Treaty of Ghent ended the War)
  • The British defeated Napoleon and turned their eyes on the U.S they blockaded the coast, marched to D.C and burned the White House/ Presidents Mansion. Francis Scott Key watched and wrote the famous anthem today "The Star Spangled Banner"

  • The British attacked New Orleans to cut off the American use of the Mississippi James Madison sent Andrew Jackson to command the American forces in 1815. There were 71 American casualties and 2,000 British casualties.

  • The war increased American patriotism, weakened native american resistance to westward settlement. After the War the U.S realized they needed a better manufacturing system that let them manufacture their own good so they started the Industrial Revolution
