Wyatt and his dad Abbott are on thin ice. He and his dad recently moved in from France after his mother’s death. Because of the small village they’re in, his dad’s bakery is coming on broke and sooner or later Abbott wouldn’t be able to support his family. But when they’re given the news that Wyatt’s school hockey team is able to participate in a championship, the winning team receiving 3,000 Canadian dollars, per player they thought of it as a way out of this tiny village. The pressure is on Wyatt and his new-found friend, Autumn. He must win this championship, to save him and his dad, and avoid any obstacles that stand in his way. Including the most prestigious school teams in all of Canada, as well as Tina and her ill-intentioned friends.
Wyatt and his dad have just moved in from France. Wyatt's dad, Abbott, is continuing his career in baking by purchasing his own shop, and Wyatt his by resuming Hockey.
Wyatt's hockey team is able to compete in a hockey championship. With a prize of $3000 each.
In the bracket Tina, the mother of another team's player, finds that Wyatt's team is far better than people thought, and doesn't like the thought of them beating her son's team.
Tina and her friends formed a plot to make sure that her son would win
Tina's plan succeeds despite Autumn and Wyatt's efforts. They had lost in the championship game.
But when at the tournament, Abbott sold so many baked goods that people now come from miles around to come and get one of his delectable treats. Wyatt and his dad are now able to live in this new town, and stay there too.
