  • mountain: Alex went to a mountain, he saw that there was a large steep him. A mountain is the earths surface rising from the surrounding level. gulf/bay: Alex went to a gulf/bay, he saw that that there was an indent in the shore line. A gulf/bay is a part of an ocean that indents the shoreline. glacier:Alex went to a glacier, he saw that there was lots of water around him and he was on a big piece of ice. A glacier is a big piece of ice on cold water. river source: Alex went to a river source, he saw that the river was going in between mountains. A river source is wen the water goes in between two mountains, or valley.
  • plateau: Alex went to the plateau, he saw that there was a lot of high ground. A plateau is a place with relatively high ground. lake: Alex went to a lake, he saw that there was lots of water. A river is a large spot of water surrounded by land. archipelago: Alex went to an archipelago, he saw that there where many island. A archipelago is a big group of islands. island: Alex went to an island, he saw that there was a lot of water around him. An island is a piece of land surround by water.
  • hill: Alex went to a hill, he saw that there was a big bump in the ground. A hill is a natural raised area of land not as big as a mountain. canyon: Alex went to a canyon, he saw that there was a deep gorge in the ground. A canyon is wen there is a deep gorge, that typically has water flowing through it. river: Alex went to a river, he saw that there was lots of water that was moving very fast. A river is a large stream of water flowing the the same direction. plain: Alex went to the plains, he saw that there where lots of grass and it was all flat land. The plains are a large piece of flat land.
