So class, what did we learn today?
We learned that the Universe is made of Millions of Eliptical and Irregular Galaxies, one of those galaxies is our galaxy, The Milky Way. It is made of thousands of Stars. One of those stars in our Sun whom's Tempurature is around 5,778 Kelvin. It got this hot because of the Nuclear Reaction happening in the core. Around it are 8 planets who are in Orbit around the sun.
Our Celestial Body is not big enough for this to happen, but if a star has enough Mass then when it dies (which would take millions of years) it will explode and form a Nebula. The Hertzsprung-Russell Diagram shows the magnitude and Luminosity of the stars. This Models how small our sun is compared to other stars and just how small we are to the rest of the universe.
