The Aztecs (Mexicas) left the desert-like country through Mexico, moving southwards over many years. Hoping to finally settle somewhere. The Aztec believed they were the chosen people who would lead them to their land of destiny.
For two hundred years The Aztec had lived a nomadic life following the orders of what they believed was a Patron God, who spoke to their priests, the priests forcing them to keep moving. This created many hardships with the Patron of God for them, as it told them to move, even though there was no time to harvest their crops when settled at one place.
Several generations later, The Aztecs finally came upon the Valley of Mexico. But, the region was already occupied by a larger number of city-states. Many societes in the valley had thought of The Aztec to be uncultured people.
It was very hard for the Aztecs to settle as many cultures were already settled there. But as the region grew, the city of Tenoch was built, this is where The Aztecs had settled. Though, they still had tension with their neighbors on the main land.
By the 1500s, the city of Tenoch was the largest city is all of Europe. The Aztecs were beginning to absord the culture, manners and traditions
