Storyboard Text

  • Hi, my name is Alfonso Diego and this was my life before the industrial revolution. We always looking out to better our living conditions and this is exactly what I set out to do. A wise person said, "the grass isn't always greener on the other side."
  • its obvious that I am a farmer and with hard work and perseverance I own a couple of farms, but it wasn't enough I wanted more. Stories were circulating about the industrial revolution,I wanted more. My greed drove me to the city. The famous Big Apple as everyone knows it .
  • We first arrived in an urban are and made do in the beginning. This is th tenement we resided in. I must admit the initial stages were hard and life was more difficult than the farm. Work conditions as well as as labour unions were tough, working hours were even longer.
  • Under the system of socialism we had to forfeit our dreams, it didn't deter nor kill my spirits. I was adamant. I had a great deal of knowledge about textiles and was waiting an opportunity to strike and prosper .
  • With my accumulated fortune I opened and started several factories in and around the country. My skills, knowledge and ability to understand different concepts such as socialism, communism made my transition easy and successful.
  • Another wise saying, "good things come to people who are patient." Finally the government backed out of failing corporations and the effect of capitalism came into being. I was basking in glory and I striked hard while the iron was hot.
  • Today this is what I am and what belongs to me. My true worth after hard work, dedication and patience. From an oppressed child labourer to an aristocrat. I now empower and also provide ample job opportunities to create a much better and thriving world to live in.
