Storyboard Text

  • We are from Troy. We were blown off course by the shifting gales. We have come to ask for your help.If not, you'll have to face Zeus.
  • Strangers?? Who are you?
  • Ha! I'm not afraid of the Gods! Now tell me, where is this ship of yours?
  • Actually, thanks to Poseidon, our ship has broken apart, leaving my men and I as the survivors.
  • Well, wasn't that delicious
  • After praying to the Gods to help them reach home and waiting for the right time, Odysseus confronted the Cyclops, Polyphemus.
  • Come on! Think Odysseus!
  • Odysseus was smart enough to lie to Polyphemus, who thought that it would be easy to figure out where the ship was. Polyphemus was tricked and lied to by a clever Odysseus.
  • Listen up. We are going to use that olive tree branch, sharpen it, and stab it into Polyphemus' eye when he least expects it. Got it?
  • YES!
  • Odysseus and his men were horrified after seeing Polyphemus devouring two of his men shamelessly, in a matter of seconds.
  • Not bad boys! Okay, now, let me tell you how and when this is going to happen...
  • Odysseus and his remaining men waited, trapped in the cave, until morning came. As they waited, Odysseus was scheming a plan that would get them out of the cave.
  • When the Cyclops left the cave, busy with his everyday work, Odysseus began to initiate his master plan of getting him and his men out of the cave and to "safety" on the ship.
  • Odysseus told his men how they were going to injure Polyphemus and what they were going to before and after the event. His men listened closely, not wanting anything bad to happen during the plan.
