Making basic concepts of mathematics easy to understand.
Yee!!! Hafsa I have stuck badly in understanding math problem.
Hey Maria, Why do you look so tensed. Is everything alright?
Yeah, sure please Hafsa.
Oh.. Let me see if i can help you.
The problem is 7 - 3 x 4 / 6 it must give 5. When i try to solve this i get a wrong answer even though I am correct.
What is order of operation?
you must have mistaken with the order of operation
BODMAS Rule states B → Brackets first (parentheses) O → Of (orders) DM → Div and Mul (start from left to right) AS → Add and Sub (start from left to right)
U must have missed BODMAS rule of order of operations.
According to Bodmas rule: 7-3x(4 / 6) which gives 7 - 3 x 0.6 7 - (3 x 0.667) which again gives 7-2 then on subtracting 2 from 7 we get 5
It is so simple!!! Thank you for making me understand Hafsa
Just go on solving operations in the brackets
