Storyboard Text

  • Safely Stowed
  • But soft, what noise? Who calls on Hamlet? O, here they come.
  • What have you done, my lord with the dead body?
  • Tell us where 'tis, that we may take it thence And bear it to the Chapel.
  • Compounded it with dust, whereto 'tis kin.
  • Scene 2. The Castle Hamlet enters brushing off dirt from his hands. He is somewhere around the castle. He has just finished burying Polonius, after he had killed him in his mothers bedroom. People off the scene call for him.
  • Do not believe it.
  • Sent by the king, Rosencratz and Guildenstern run in to confront Hamlet about where Hamlet hid Polonius body. They all believe Hamlet has gone crazy, and will continue to murder if not stopped.
  • Believe what?
  • Hamlet tells R&G that he has buried Polonius where he belongs. Rosencratz asks where he has buried the body so that they could take it to a Chapel to be sent away to heaven properly.
  • Hamlet firmly tells Rosencratzs that he doesn't believe a word he is saying and that he doesn't trust him. Rosencratz and Guildenstern have been following only the kings orders.
  • Rosencratzs doesn't understand why Hamlet would act this way. He doesn't understand that he has betrayed Hamlet, who used to be his classmate.
