Today we will be talking about mitosis!
What is that?!?!
Mitosis is when the cell divides, it goes through 4 phases. These phases are prophase, metophase, anaphase, and telophase.
I wonder how many flies are in here--- 1. 2. 3.....
Prophase is the first phase in mitosis. In prophase the nuclear membrane disinogrates, and centrioles move to opposite ends of the cell.
The second phase in mitosis is Metophase. During Metophase the chromatids line up in the middle of the cell.
The third phase in mitosis is Anaphase. During Anaphase chromosomes separate and move away from one another.
The last phase in mitosis is Telophase. In Telophase mitosis is complete, and a new nucleus forms around each set of chromosomes.
