Storyboard Text

  • Gravitational Potential Energy (GPE)
  • As I was about to dive in the water to swim I have GPE.
  • Air Resistance
  • I just dove into the water and the water is slowing me down until I starts to swim fast to pick up the pace.
  • Kinetic Energy
  • The water bubbles at my feet show how fast I'm is going.
  • As I started to speed up by kicking and pulling the water quickly is kinetic energy.
  • At the top of the board the swimmer has gravitational potential energy - energy due to height above the ground.
  • Simile & Hyperbole
  • When she is in the water she is collecting air resistance, the force exerted by air molecules that tends to slow any moving object.
  • Appeal to Numbers
  • Kinetic Energy - energy in motion - makes the swimmer go faster.
  • Alliteration
  • She swam faster like a shark catching its prey. No one can catch up to her.
  • The shark is going after its prey which connects to the swimmer because she swam quickly.
  • The zoo has 82% animals in the world for the whole town to see, which means 18% of animals are not in the zoo.
