  • Stamp Act 1763
  • The Stamp Act was tax on all paper products like newspaper and playing cards
  • Sugar Act 1764
  • This act was putting taxes on molasses ,spices, and sugar.
  • Boston Massacre 1770
  • Colonists were teasing soldiers and one British shot there gun.This got them all riled up.
  • They were so angry at the stamp act because they had no say."Taxation without representation" on all paper products.
  • Boston Tea Party 1773
  • This was when 342 chests of tea were thrown off the ship because they did not want to pay the taxes.Also they wanted to get the kings attention.
  • They were mad at this because they use spices almost every day for their foods because there meats were not fresh most of the time and they had no say about the taxes that were made.
  • Committee of Correspondence 1774
  • This was when the colonists were sending letters to each other about what was being done in their colonies to protest the latest British laws.
  • When the Boston Massacre happened they got mad because one person fired and they were not suppose to fire. It came known as the massacre because of the killing of a number of people that cannot defend thereselves.
  • Battle of Lexington 1775
  • This is when the British fought the minute men and the British heard that the patriots were hiding weapons so the British leader sent 700 soldiers to find the weapons.
  • With the Boston Tea Party they got angry because this law only allowed a British company to sell tea in the colonies for a low price. So the colonists had no buisness and no money.
  • When they put this it made it a problem because then the British noticed and this all caused problems.
  • This made them mad because shots were fired and eight of the minute men were killed,with several wounded.
