This storyboard does not have a description.
We moved into a tenements with our extended family, there were 8 of us. It was really cramped and there wasn't much room to do anything.
The food was really plain food, we had oats or potatoes or both mixed up with milk and water. Things like oat cakes were very cheap to make, and we very rarely ate meat. Beer was drunk in factories because water was often contaminated.
Because of the crowded nature of the tenements and factories, diseases would spread fast and easily. This meant that anyone who caught a deadly disease would be unlikely to survive and would spread it to everyone in their tenement and factory.
