Storyboard Text

  • Exposition
  • Oh no! I dropped my cigar! AAAAAAAAA!
  • Was that a gunshot?
  • Rising Action
  • Wow! Look at this house! I wonder why it's here on this island...
  • What?!?! How could you do that, it's murder! I've got to get out of here!
  • Hello! I am General Zaroff. Would you like to go hunting with me? Or should I say, be hunted by me...
  • Climax
  • I just have to survive for 3 days. That's it. I'll use some of the techniques I have learned from hunting.
  • While Rainsford and Whitney are headed to Rio for hunting, they pass a mysterious island. After Whitney leaves, Rainsford hears a gunshot in the distance. He leans over the rail to listen, but accidentally falls over the rail into the warm Caribbean.
  • Falling Action
  • No! He got away!
  • I must jump off this cliff or he will kill me!
  • After Rainsford finds his way to the island, he finds a magnificent house. Rainsford meets General Zaroff, who is a hunter. However, Zaroff hunts humans, not animals. Zaroff challenges Rainsford to a hunt where Rainsford turns into the hunted instead of the huntee.
  • Resolution
  • Hello General. I believe I have won the game.
  • As the hunt starts, Rainsford uses the techniques of survival he has learned from the animals he has hunted. After escaping Zaroff once, Rainsford injures Zaroffs shoulder with a trap, therefore sending Zaroff home and surviving the first day.
  • Theme
  • The next day, Zaroff and Ivan, who is Zaroff's servant and friend, hunt Rainsford with the hounds. Rainsford kills a hound and Ivan with more of his traps, but Rainsford still must escape Zaroff. To do so, Rainsford jumps off a cliff into the ocean.
  • When Zaroff turns on the light in his bedroom that night, Rainsford is standing there. Zaroff congratulates Rainsford for winning the hunt, but says that only one of them will sleep in an excellent bed that night. Rainsford said he'd never slept better.
  • Yes, but only one of us can sleep in this bed...
  • One of the main themes of "The Most Dangerous Game" is survival. Rainsford must survive in the wilderness while being hunted by Zaroff. Because Rainsford is a hunter, he is able to survive by using the skills he has learned from hunting.
