  • Hey Kids! Today we're doing something different. Today we're going over the rules of the Lab! Lets have two students demonstrate. How about Sally and John?
  • Question #1: When in a lab you should: a) Play around, what's the worst that can happen? b) Be Responsible, sit down and wait for the the teacher. c) Why are you even in the lab? Just don't go to school!

  • Question #2: What are you allowed to eat in the lab? a) Just a water and a piece of gum. b) How about some burgers? Maybe a side of fries? How about a drink? c) Nothing. Nada. Zip. Zilch

  • See who knows more about how to stay safe in the school labs.
  • Question #3: Does the instructor need to be in the room? a) Of Course! b) Not Really... c) Nope.

  • Tiebreaker: What should you do if there is a spill? a)  Find out how to clean it yourself. b) Inform the instructor. c) Don't do anything.
  • Sally is right. If you play around in the lab, you might break something, cause something to spill, or even cause someone to be hospitalized.  Score: Sally 1, John 0.

  • No one is right. You shouldn't eat anything in the lab. Some chemicals could poison the food your going to eat. Score: Sally 1, John 0. 
  • Great job kids! You both did great!
  • John is right. The instructor must be there to make sure nothing goes wrong, and tell you what to do if something does happen. Score: Sally 1, John 1.
  • John is right. After a spill, you don't know what will happen in the lab. You have to inform the instructor immediately.  They will then proceed to tell you how to clean it up. Sally 1, John 2.
